Time to clarify some photo terms đđťââď¸ Although I donât like to use the term âboudoirâ, I use it often as it is the word that is closest in representing the style of images that I often share. However, when you look up ‘NJ boudoir photographer’ youâll notice that thereâs a very broad range of styles. Therefore, yes, my clients are often terrified that theyâre required to be photographed in lingerie or nude etc.
My website portfolio is titled âModern Womenâ. A title that many photographers nowadays are using to represent not just boudoir, but contemporary, artistic styles as well. I photograph women of all ages of all backgrounds – mothers, expectant mothers, grandmothers, teachers, attorneys, government officials etc. How you want to be photographed is completely up to you. What youâd like to wear, how much âimplied nudityâ youâre comfortable with etc. is again completely up to you. These are all things that we discuss in your consultation. And feeling terrified? Youâre definitely not alone. Many of my clients are literally shaking when they enter my studio but end up rocking their session and sharing some tears when they see their portraits â¤ď¸.
During this pandemic Iâve had to continue creating using myself as a subject lol. In doing so, Iâve tried to create pieces that show a little of my range, whether some implied nudity, âprettyâ dance poses or even just a fun closeup crop like this first image below. Oh and if you want to keep your portraits private no problem – 75% of my clients already do đ. So, in conclusion, if youâre looking to do boudoir, research, check out photographerâs portfolios and see whose style you connect with the most since the term boudoir is used to represent sooo many different styles.
If you’re on instagram would love to connect with you so that you can stay updated with my latest work and any promotions that I may be offering. https://www.instagram.com/celestinaando/
